When West London gets East London style rooftop bar, we all grab our bags and head there to check it out.
Pergola is the new rooftop bar on top of the old BBC car park next to Westfield shopping centre in Shepards bush. As always, entrance doors are quite unnoticeable and do not promise much. Frankly, I would pass by without even paying attention to it. However, after short lift rideup the picture changes drastically. Truth to be told, none of us expected it to be so damn pretty and different from other roof terraces. No joke! Pergola is very spacious terrace ( and I mean VERY) with a giant canopy of hanging flower plants in the middle. Walls are all covered with either very artistic graffiti or plain white colour, and white gravel on the floor creates that umami holiday feeling. Add the smell of smoking meat coming from food stalls and you are in summer paradise. Hold on a sec, “Where is my cold beverage?”…
While enjoying our beverages we walked around to familiarise ourselves with food stalls. There is some seriously tasty line-up of street food traders including Salt Yard, LeCoq, Rabbit and burger legends Patty and Bun. I have dreamt about Patty and Bun burger for a while so without any further due I joined other burger lovers in the queue. Needless to say, it was fresh and super finger licking delicious.
We stayed till the sun went down and even longer. It is this beautiful places with summery buzzing vibes. Dj is playing club classics while people are sipping on their drinks and enjoying their conversation.
Come around and see it for yourself. The roof top bar is open only until the end of summer. Entrance is free and you can pay card here as well as cash. All the details and additional info you can find here.
